CFD brokers have spent 2026 extending gold trading into weekends and adding smaller contracts. Born2trade turned overnight financing into another competitive edge on Tuesday, advertising credits of up to $19.99 per XAU/USD lot and $2.99 per XAG/USD lot for eligible long positions.
LMAX Group, Scope Prime, CMC Markets, Match-Prime, Vantage and VT Markets have introduced products that keep gold available beyond standard market hours. The launches tracked by FinanceMagnates.com include 24/7 access and smaller contracts.
CME Group also added continuous one-ounce gold futures in July. Nearly 15,000 contracts worth about $60 million traded during the first weekend covered by FinanceMagnates.com.
Gold and Silver Keep Drawing Volume
Gold’s 42.4% share made it Capital.com’s largest reported instrument in the second quarter, according to figures the broker released in July. Capital.com put total trading volume at $1.13 trillion.
The broker’s trade count fell 23.2% quarter over quarter to 34.9 million, while average trade size rose 16.0% quarter over quarter to $32,418. Gold’s share was below the 59% reported for January alone.
CME Group reported yesterday (Wednesday) that metals average daily volume reached 1 million contracts in August, up 48% year over year. Micro Gold rose 81% to 345,000 contracts per day and Micro Silver increased 286% to 63,000.
Exchange -traded futures and retail CFDs are different products, so their volumes are not directly comparable. Micro products accounted for 52% of CME’s total metals volume in August.
Reuters reported spot gold at $4,409.97 early Thursday after the metal touched a near-one-month low in the previous session. Silver traded at $65.74.

The Sample Found No Positive Gold Long Swaps
FinanceMagnates.com checked ForexBenchmark today (Thursday). All 32 broker-account combinations with available XAU/USD data showed negative long swaps: of 33 available silver readings, 32 were negative and one was zero.
The readings are a point-in-time sample, not a market census. ForexBenchmark says rates may update late in the evening and should be checked manually, but the result supports a narrower conclusion: a positive gold long swap was absent from the monitored accounts.
ForexBenchmark normalizes rates into US dollars per lot using a 100-ounce XAU/USD contract and a 5,000-ounce XAG/USD contract. Its gold sample included broker accounts from IC Markets, Pepperstone, Swissquote, Tickmill and more than two dozen others.
Born2trade’s exclusive autumn promotion is live — until 31 Dec 2026.

IC Markets Raw showed a long swap of -$57.55 per lot per night, Afterprime -$70.26 and Pepperstone UK -$95.58. For silver, Cara Markets displayed zero. Every other available XAG/USD reading was negative.
Overnight financing is part of the wider balance-sheet exposure brokers manage in volatile gold markets. The sign and size of a swap can vary by account, contract specification and market conditions.
A $19.99 Credit With a Two-Lot Limit
The MetaTrader 5 screenshot supplied to FinanceMagnates.com showed XAU/USD with a long swap of 19.99 points and a short swap of -19.99 points. Each weekday carried a rollover multiplier of one.

The same screen lists a minimum volume of 0.01 lot, a maximum volume of 2 lots and a volume limit of 2 lots. MetaTrader 5 documentation defines the volume limit as the maximum aggregate position and pending-order volume in one direction for a symbol.
At the advertised rate, a two-lot gold long would receive up to $39.98 per nightly rollover if that limit applies unchanged to the promotion. Born2trade’s written response said no other caps were intended, but it did not explain the two-lot fields in the supplied image.
Only one Born2trade account type qualifies. FinanceMagnates.com covered the same high-leverage account in April, when Born2trade introduced leverage of up to 1:5000 on selected currency pairs and gold. Standard and ECN accounts are excluded.
The terms identify Born2trade Ltd as a Mauritius company authorized by the country’s Financial Services Commission (FSC) as an investment dealer under license GB24203511.
The promotion is scheduled to run through December 31, 2026. Born2trade’s risk management department said it expected the settings to remain unchanged in normal market conditions. “There is no 100% assurance that this promo will not be changed,” the department added.
The terms say the rates are not fixed or guaranteed and may change because of market conditions, financing costs, liquidity-provider requirements, risk management, regulation, technical issues or suspected abuse. Born2trade may also end the promotion early with five days’ written notice.
The risk management department said the swap cost is a client-acquisition expense for Born2trade. Any use of futures, options or another method to manage the resulting exposure is an internal decision, it added.
Born2trade said it did not yet have a client-uptake figure because the promotion began this week. During the promotion, Born2trade has set every weekday rollover multiplier at one instead of applying a triple swap on Wednesday.
